1. Definitions
1.1 “Company” means The Wedding Shortlist Ltd.
1.2 “Website” means www.theweddingshortlist.co.uk.
1.3 “Wedding Professional” means the business applying for a listing on the Website.
1.4 “Listing” means the online profile space awarded to a Wedding Professional for a fixed period.
2. Applications
2.1 All Wedding Professionals must complete the Company’s assessment.
2.2 Applications are scored against published criteria, and only those reaching the required threshold will be approved.
2.3 The Company’s decision regarding acceptance, ranking, or allocation of listing spaces is final.
2.4 The Company reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its' sole discretion.
3. Listings
3.1 Launch Offer: The first 16 wedding professionals, in each category/county, who pass the online assessment get a FREE listing for the Company's directory's introductory six month period.
3.1 For all other six month periods, a free entry will be awarded to the eight highest scoring applicants in the Company's assessment, in each category/county.
3.2 In addition to the Company's eight free entries another eight will be available (no obligation), to those who also pass the Company's assessment, at £120 for a six-month paid listing.
3.3 All listings are shuffled on each page load to ensure fair and equal visibility.
3.4 Listings are renewed every six months and all applicants will be re-assessed.
3.5 If the Company becomes aware that any information provided in the application or assessment was false, misleading, or materially inaccurate, the Company reserves the right to remove the listing immediately without explanation.
4. Supplier Obligations
4.1 The Wedding Professional warrants that all information provided is accurate, complete, and not misleading.
4.2 The Wedding Professional warrants that they own, or have permission to use, all text, photos, and other content they provide.
4.3 The Wedding Professional agrees to promptly update their information so it remains accurate.
4.4 The Wedding Professional must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including UK data protection laws.
5. Company Rights
5.1 The Company may edit, refuse, or remove content that it considers inappropriate, inaccurate, or not aligned with its' standards.
5.2 The Company does not guarantee any particular level of enquiries, bookings, or revenue.
6. Fees & Payments
6.1 Where applicable, listing fees must be paid in full on acceptance of a paid listing.
7. Termination
7.1 The Company may suspend or remove a listing immediately if these Terms are breached.
7.2 The Company reserves the right to suspend or remove any Wedding Professional’s listing at its' sole discretion if it believes that continued inclusion may damage the integrity, reputation, or values of the Company, regardless of whether these Terms have been formally breached.
7.3 Pro rata refunds are made if a paid listing is terminated early.
8. Liability
8.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss.
8.2 The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Wedding Professional for their current listing term.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1 The Company may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified on the Website.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
